Alloy Wheel Repairs

Your alloy wheels play a huge part in how your car looks, and when they’re damaged, it’s hard to ignore. At Paint Genie, we’re genuinely passionate about restoring alloy wheels the right way, not just giving them a quick cosmetic touch-up.

Whether it’s light kerbing or more serious structural damage, we combine skilled workmanship with a thorough refurbishment process to deliver long-lasting, high-quality results.

Minor Repairs

Scuffed, scratched or kerbed alloys are one of the most common issues we see, and one of the most satisfying to put right.

Our minor alloy wheel repairs are ideal for:

      • Kerb scuffs and scrapes

      • Light scratches and surface damage

      • Paint or lacquer deterioration

      • Cosmetic wear and tear

Rather than masking the damage, we fully prepare the wheel to ensure a smooth, durable finish that looks factory-fresh. If you’re refreshing a single wheel, we can colour match precisely to your existing alloys, ensuring a seamless result.

    Major Repairs

When alloy wheels are buckled, cracked or badly damaged, a proper repair is essential — both for safety and longevity.

We carry out major alloy wheel repairs, including:

        • Buckled wheel repairs

        • Welding of cracked or fractured alloys

        • Heavily damaged or corroded wheels

These repairs require experience, precision and the right equipment — and we never cut corners. If a wheel can be repaired safely, we’ll do it properly. If it can’t, we’ll always be honest and advise you accordingly.

      The Process

What sets Paint Genie apart is how we repair alloy wheels.

Every wheel we refurbish goes through a full, professional process:

          1. Tyres are removed to allow safe, thorough access to the wheel

          1. All damage is carefully repaired, including straightening and welding where required

          1. The wheel is placed in an acid bath, stripping it back to bare metal

          1. It is then blasted to remove any remaining surface imperfections

          1. Finally, the wheel is powder-coated or painted in the colour of your choice

This process ensures excellent adhesion, durability and a finish that lasts, not just something that looks good for a few weeks.

If we’re not refurbishing a full set, we can colour match to your existing wheels, maintaining a consistent appearance across your vehicle.
